Choosing products
Should I choose beard oil or beard balm?
Beard Oil is an easy everyday choice for conditioning facial hair and moisturising the skin beneath. Beard Balm adds conditioning plus styling control to help tame flyaways and shape your beard. You can use either product on its own, or both together.
Which scent is right for me?
Poseidon offers three blends: Castaway, Citrus Grove and Outback Sunrise. Scent is personal, so check the individual product descriptions to explore each blend.
Can I choose my own Twin Pack combination?
Yes. Build Your Own Twin Pack lets you choose any two items from our three oils and three balms for NZ$55. Mix products and blends, or choose two of the same favourite.
How to use them
How do I use beard oil?
Start with a clean, slightly damp beard. Add a few drops to your palms, rub your hands together, then work the oil through your facial hair and towards the skin beneath. Start with a small amount and add more as needed.
How do I use beard balm?
Scoop out a small amount of beard balm and warm it between your palms. Work it evenly through your beard, then style with your fingers or a comb. Add a little more only if needed.
Can I use oil and balm together?
Absolutely. Apply a little oil first to condition your beard, then follow with a small amount of balm for extra styling control. Adjust the amount to suit your beard length and preferred finish.
How often should I use them?
Many people use beard oil or balm every day. How much you need depends on your beard length, skin and grooming preferences. Start small and find a routine that works for you.
How long will a bottle or tin last?
Usage varies. A shorter beard generally needs less product than a long, thick beard. Keep containers closed when not in use, and follow any care guidance on the packaging.
Shipping & returns
How much is New Zealand shipping?
The current Poseidon store offer is NZ$5 flat-rate shipping for orders under NZ$50 and free NZ shipping on orders of NZ$50 or more. The shipping rate applicable to your order is confirmed at checkout. International options and rates, where available, are separate.
How long does delivery take?
Timing depends on your location and the delivery carrier. Tracking details are provided when available after dispatch. If you need an order by a particular date, email us before purchasing.
Can I return an item?
Please contact alex@poseidon.co.nz with your order details if something isn't right. Our returns and refund policy explains the process and eligibility. This information does not limit your rights under applicable consumer law.
